Epidermis
Basal/stratum germinativum: deepest layer, produced new skin cells.
Spiny/stratum spinosum: process of skin shedding begins
Stratum granulosum: looks like granules. Dying as they replaces skin that is shed from skin surface layer
Stratum lucidum: transparent under skin surface, consist of small cells that light can pass through
Stratum corneum: outer layer of epidermis, what we see. 

Dermis
Called derma, corium, cutis, and true skin.
25x thicker than epidermis. 
Contains blood vessels, lymph vessels, sweat glands, oil glands, hair follicles, at rector pili.
Papillary-top layer of dermis
Reticular-deeper layer of dermis, supplies oxygen and nutrients.

Melanin
Pheomelanin: red-yellow
Eumelanin: dark brown-black

Sudoriferous(sweat) glands
Excrete sweats

Sebaceous(oil) glands
Excretes oil to preserve softness and luvricates

Vitamin
A: elasticity and thickness
C: healthy and firm
D: healing and bone development
E: heal damage
Water 50-70% of human body

Verruca:wart
